HOW TO MAKE A NINJA STAR?
Ninja stars, also known as shuriken, are weapons used in martial arts and have become popular in pop culture. Making ninja stars can be a fun DIY project, and here are the steps to make them:
Materials needed:
- A piece of paper or thin cardboard
- Scissors or a craft knife
- Ruler
- Pencil or pen
Step 1: Choose the paper or cardboard for your ninja star. A thin and light material is recommended, as it will make it easier to throw. Cut a square piece from the material. The size can vary, but a 3-inch square is a good size for beginners.
Step 2: Fold the square in half diagonally to create a triangle. Crease the fold well, and then unfold it.
Step 3: Fold the square in half diagonally again, but in the opposite direction. Crease the fold well and then unfold it. You should now have two diagonal creases that cross at the center of the square.
Step 4: Fold each corner of the square towards the center along the creases you made in step 3. The corners should meet at the center of the square, forming a smaller square.
Step 5: Fold the square in half vertically, bringing the two points at the top and bottom together. Crease the fold well and then unfold it.
Step 6: Cut along the two diagonal creases you made in step 2, stopping at the center of the square.
Step 7: Fold each of the four triangles you created in step 6 in half along the center crease you made in step 5. Make sure the folds are sharp and precise.
Step 8: Take two adjacent triangles and fold them towards each other along their center creases, creating a crease in the middle of the ninja star. Repeat with the other two adjacent triangles. You should now have a four-pointed ninja star.
Step 9: Fold each point of the ninja star in half along the crease you made in step 7. This will create a sharper edge on the points.
Step 10: To finish, you can decorate your ninja star with markers or paint if you wish.
These are the basic steps for making a ninja star. Keep in mind that the process may take some practice, especially when it comes to getting the folds precise. Additionally, it is important to use caution when handling ninja stars, as they can be dangerous if not used properly. Only use them in a safe and controlled environment and under the guidance of a professional instructor.
Overall, making ninja stars can be a fun and satisfying DIY project for those interested in martial arts and Japanese culture.
